Bragging: Kova&T Black Oxy Legging

Today I've got a black box from Bunny Hug online-store. I've never bought trousers or legging without trying them before. I was quite excited when I got my Kova&T Black Oxy Legging today in the morning so that I waited half a day before I dared to open the box and put them on my legs. Actually I spotted this shiny black fetish thing this spring but I thought that I would never be infected by this latex-leg-mania. But two weeks ago I was bombarded by information about the legging from everywhere - TV, blogs and I surrendered. I had a pair of similar legging during my teen-age. So why not!:-) I plan to wear them with a T-shirt dress or angora sweater dress that I knitted last winter.

Start of a new me
Yesterday it was the last day of my 7-days-challenge. I have double feelings towards my results. On one side I've managed to have control over my thoughts. What means that I have both positive and negative thoughts and I can tell the difference between them now. On the other hand I realized that seven days are not enough to huge changes could be done. Smart books say that you need at least four weeks to change or create habits of your own. And habits are the base of a lifestyle. So do the math: positive thoughts=>positive habits=>positive lifestyle. Even if I'm not completely cured I can say that I'm standing on positive side of my mood and now I know what I have to do for reaching my aim:- to be honest to myself, to love and cherish myself
- to cultivate positive thoughts by reading uplifting books, listen uplifting music, watching positive films and so on
- to communicate with positive people, people who motivate/inspire me, who accept me for who I am - real me
- to do things that I want to do, I feel joy doing
- to be grateful for who/what I already have around me
- to dream big
- to have discipline by having more control over my time by spending it wisely
- to be open to life, to say yes more often..
This "to do"- list can be continued further, but remember to do it step by step, because good major life-changing things can not be done over a night - get real;-)
P.S. Do you see any resemblance of me to my dog on my family photo? Yeah, as they say: " A dog looks like his owner.":-)))
Let's smile
Stars are people too:-)When I saw this photo of Pamela Anderson I couldn't help laughing because her make-up made me remember how I can look sometimes due to my poor skills of make-up technique.

Idea: Create your own bokeh
What an interesting idea for those who master the art of photographing. You can make an own filter to use on a lens to capture bokeh in shape you want.
"You will need :- One lagre aperture lens (a Canon 50mm F1.8 is used here)
- One sheet of black paperboard
Cut and shape the sheet to make a fake lense hood.
The Diameter is made so that it fits on the lens.
In the middle of the filter the wanted bokeh shape is cut out.I’m not sure how big a hole the shape can be. But you can check it right away by just looking through the viewfinder.
On the 50mm lens @ F1.8 a 15mm heart gives a metering value equal to F3.2, so it can probably be a little bigger. The lens must be set to its lowest aperture value (completely open)."

Merry Christmas!?

Dr. Seuss: "And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?"
I do not know what happened to me this year - me who was listening Christmas music in October. But now I can't think of any proper reason for Christmas celebration. It' s like Christmas lost all magic for me. Maybe I'm getting old:-) But everything feels so insincere, so I can't even watch TV because of all faces there are smiling, wishing all people all the best. So I wonder why we can't smile to each other every day, do pleasant things to each other every day, be honest and polite with each other every day? Why we, who are not even religious people(most of us), create such a big thing of Christmas - a religious holiday? Why people who work so hard during the year are spending own money buying things which are often unnecessary, buying so much food that you think they have never eaten before. Or all those parties - work, friends, relatives - isn't it better to stay at home and pay attention to own family instead, hobbies or just to reading this book which you never have time to finish.
Some people are thinking that they can deceive Christmas celebration rush by travelling to the countries of the Third World but they are deceiving only themselves.

So I feel slightly related to a Grinch:-) I would steal Christmas so as people could realize what they are doing and why. I think that even Nature wants to say us something like that by rainy weather instead of classical snowy holiday as we were used to see long time ago.
My plan for the holidays is to be pretty as always not just for holiday's sake and have some fun activities with my family, some reading and blogging as well;-)

Mad donna or Madonna?
Madonna has fascinated me since I was a child. I like her because despite her experiments in personal style, music, believes she managed to keep her strong personality. But her appearance lately became an issue for hot discussions due to her masculine muscles, rough facial features and pretty revealing scene costumes and behavior. I understand that nobody wants to get old especially women - beautiful one, because aging more visible on them. But some common sense wouldn't hurt in her case. It is like Madonna is back to her basics. Compare her appearance in the beginning of her showbiz career and nowadays 20+ years later. It looks like if she haven't learned anything new in her professional life - all this time the same Madonna. It would be interesting to see her mature side this time or she want to sell own music only for youngsters whose interest is only sex as we were some day? Does she care about her "old" fans? I want see her developing not degradation.

Madonna, give it to me!
7-days-positive-thinking-challenge idea
After I made previous post about what I've already managed to do during my 7 - days - challenge I remembered that I watched this summer very hilarious comedy Relative strangers with Danny DeVito and Ron Livingston who played Mr. Berger in Sex And The City. So as you understand I recommend it to you who have joined my challenge;-)
Acne + Lanvin = ?

+

=

What a collaboration of Lanvin - a high fashion clothing brand and Acne - clothing brand for upper middle class can create? It creates non-luxurious looking clothing with an overrated price. I thought that nowadays we are so feed up with denim by wearing jeans every day but Lanvin<3Acne do not share this opinion. Maybe it is the crisis's fault which has generated a shortage of good fabrics and dyes or they are just hungry for easy benefit?
"April in Paris, chestnuts in blossom, holiday tables under the trees."
I wish I lived in Paris...this video clip makes me feel this desire even stronger. Maybe I should apply to some French course...hmm

7-days-positive-thinking-challenge report

I do not know where to begin... To think positively is harder than you can imagine. It feels like you are standing in quicksand, the more you are trying the more you are going down.
What I managed to do until now:
- I'm smiling to myself when I look in the mirror
- I do not judge others - a negative thinking trap
- I do not think about past or future - what a point to analyze past - you can't change anything or why to stress yourself about future if you do not know what is waiting for you there.
- I watched a new uplifting very funny comedy with esoteric meaning - "Yes Man" - go and see it!! now!!
- I sleep a lot - the best recharging method..
Bragging: A dress by Mariella Burani per Amuleti
I want to present you my new post category - "Bragging". I'm not 100% sure about this category because I was raised in a way that it is not polite to tell/tease others about own purchase. But at the same time it can be quite inspirational to see what can be found at the stores especially online ones.
It was an introduction, now let's talk business:-)
I've always liked dresses in pattern with flowers on black background but surprisingly I didn't have any in my closet since I moved from my mothers home. My attention caught a dress like that on Yoox - Mariella Burani dress. In addition to my favorite pattern it has lace detail which is "must have" thing this year, for instance look at sophisticated and luxurious lace presented by Prada. So the 3/4 length dress made of silk, which has lined interior and lace - crepe de chine is hanging in my closet. Follow my blog and you will see it on me some day in "Outfit of the day" category.

Review: Twilight
Twilight is a film based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel which is a new phenomena in a world of modern teenagers. I'm not a teenager anymore(thanks God!:-P) but this vampire thing which is a central part of the movie was always of my interest. I've seen many horror films inspired by vampire theme, but nothing could beat my bright impression of Francis Coppola's film from 1992 based on the novel Dracula by Bram Stoker which I read much earlier than I saw the movie.

Thought quite suspicious vibes of all the Twilight excitement witch you could follow before Twilight even was presented at the cinemas and poor impression of the trailer I watched this movie. And what I can say - I liked it. Maybe the story is an interpretation of Romeo and Juliet of our times, but there is something in the cast play that keeps your interest trough all the movie.

Whether it was these deep eyes of Robert Pattinson who played the main character or emotional charge between him and his mortal girlfriend played by Kristen Stewart.

Definitely this film is worth watching it. Teenagers will get excited of all vampire drama and action, adults will find some excitement of emotional drama between characters and all sexual chemistry that's going on there;-)

Inspiration: Mark Shaw - photography
"Mark Shaw(1929-1969) is an American photographer who is best known for his photographs of Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy, which he shot originally for LIFE magazine and later as the Kennedys' "unofficial" family photographer. ... The celebrities Mark Shaw photographed for LIFE and other publications included: Pablo Picasso, Brigitte Bardot,Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Yves St. Laurent, Coco Chanel and many others."
These photos enchant me with their lightness and transparency.

I'm sending a challenge...
Lately it's been hard for me to keep my mind in positive mood. And I caught myself that I'm getting in to quite unpleasant situations - rude people, bad dreams and so on. So I decided to challenge myself and you out there to have only positive thoughts during next 7 days.I need to heal my soul. It means that all negative thought that will come in to our minds must be replaced with positive one and positive thought must be let not only flow without any obstacles but enforced and multiplied.
Lets healing process begin, clear your minds and souls!

Trend: Black lip gloss

I had a chance today to try YSL black lip gloss. I tested it on my hand only. My verdict is favorable. This lip gloss is not so dark as it is shown on this picture, it has pretty semitransparent consistence. I liked the effect of combining this black shade with YSL lipstick in rose shade - this blend turned color spot on my hand in to aubergine unique shade. So I can see myself using this product in combination with some lighter lipstick. Ladies with darker skin can use it with darker lipsticks to achieve own unique lip color.
Cabaret Lorensberg
On the 17 December 1999 officially I become a wife, so every year we celebrate this event. And it is always a surprise to me thanks to my husband who loads all arrangement to his shoulders.Even if our opinion about good food and entertainment differs a lot from Swedish way to do it we try every year/day to find a compromise and do not to stay at home even if we kind of hate (honestly) the Swedish way. So this Wednesday we gave a chance to a local cabaret, which is announced to be the best in the city.
Yeah, Cabaret Lorensberg show is not a Moulin Rouge spectacular performance concerning cast, costumes, make-up, music and etc. It was entertaining but not in a good positive way - I hope you
understand me:-))) The show was announces as magical, luxurious blend of 18th century and the 80s, very kitsch - but all we could see was only bad quality kitsch with a lot of energy and no music sense in singing.

Food was made by the top chef of the place and it was expected that after one bite you would never forget an explosion of delicious taste. Honestly, I just want to forget it, especially the price we paid for that what they call delicious food and magical show.
The only magic for me was and is my lovely husband whom I love and will follow everywhere he wants....but Honey maybe it is time to move to another country?! Or I will turn in to a bitter old lady ...and then I will buy a snake to be "that old bitter lady with a snake", as Chandler from Friends was planning to do when he realized that he has no future in one of the series. Honestly!
Inspiration: Nature

Oh, I feel with all my body the end of the year 2008 is somewhere near - I'm so tired. But do not think that I won't continue writing in my blog...just those last 2 days I needed a little rest.
Stay tuned, because I will post about what I was doing on the 17 December and my outfit of the day:-)
P.S. Photo is one of my interests. This photo was taken by me last year summer.

Chanel+Russian style = ?
Chanel is giving out a new limited edition of nail polishes this time with Russian vibes. And again I'm afraid that I will be left without a possibility to buy any of these three shades, why? Read here to know if you don't remember:-) According to product's description the base of these 3 shades is black which varies just thanks to different shimmer added in it: Or de Russie - black with gold shimmer, Nuit de Russie - black with blue shimmer, Feu de Russie - black with red and crimson shimmer.
But on second thought I have already Tulipe noire, Blue and Black satin... shimmer - shwimmer:-)))...or??? I let you know if I get my hands/nails in those beauties:-)

Inspiration: The Look
Dita Von Teese - as always very elegant and sophisticated. She has everything under control - very high maintenance look.

Michaela Kocianova by Marcus Ohlsson - simple and elegant at the same time. Her look is similar with Dita's but not so expensive though gives similar impression.

These 2 photos show us that you do not need to have very sophisticated hairstyle or spend a lot of time to your make-up to look elegant and chic:-)

Are you "Yes"- person or "No"- person?
I tend to say "No" first, just to have some time to think carefully before I will say "Yes". Maybe I'm just scared to meet new people, go to new places and so on which is quite paradoxical because if I decide to do something I'm not afraid to pursue my decision. I've been like that as long as I remember myself. But this attitude has own disadvantages due to huge risk to miss one in a life opportunity, which I've done several times already.
So when I saw a trailer of a new Jim Carrey's film I saw myself in his character:-)) I know for sure which film I will watch at the movies this weekend:-)

Who is the most beautiful girl in the world?

Ksenya Sukhinova a girl from Tyumen - a town which is in 2,144 kilometers east of Moscow gets a title of Miss Universe this year. This 21 - year - old girl is a student of Tyumen State Oil and Gas University. I hope that she won't abandon her title as Oxana Fedorova - previous Russian Miss Universe 2002 did.
